Wowza, it’s been a while since I’ve shared any news, hasn’t it? Well, have I got a doozy for you!
Last September I quit my legal assistant day job and moved to from Victoria, BC, Canada, to Tacoma, WA, USA on a K1 Fiancee Visa (yes, it’s the same 90 Day Fiance visa mentioned in the famous TV show… and no, I wasn’t ON the show). I married Tacoma based singer-songwriter Dave Hannon last November. (I will fill you in on those details later, I promise!)
Because immigration has all sorts of paperwork and waiting time, I’ve been on a bit of musical hiatus… laying low for the past year, playing open mics, connecting with the amazing musical community in Tacoma and, of course, woodshedding.
BUT…
I’m stoked to tell you that my work permit came in this week and I have already booked a show this Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Downtown Block Party at Fireman’s Park in Tacoma. I’ll be on stage from 9-9:45 a.m.
For those of you in the Tacoma area, I’d love to see your lovely faces while I play my first show in the USA!
