Spring 2021 Update

It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update, hasn’t it?

Well, where do I start? With Pierce County starting to return (or not?) to hosting live music, there have been a lot of questions of where Dave Hannon and I sit when it comes to playing shows during the pandemic, so… here’s our scoop:

As we all remember, March 13, 2020 will forever be a day for the history books…. Full moon, time change, mass toilet paper shortages, global pandemic virus, markets crashing, interest rates dropping, border closures, Friday the 13th, snow in some parts of Tacoma… and it was Dave’s last day of teaching in-person classes before what we anticipated to be 6 weeks of no school due to the pandemic (which actually turned into remote learning for nearly a year). It was also the last show I had before the shut-down (at Odd Otter – we miss you guys!)

What a year it has been!

This year, it seemed appropriate that on March 13, 2021 we announced to our family and friends a new beginning for us and our family by sharing that I’m carrying Baby Girl Hannon – due September 18, 2021! We feel so blessed to be sharing this news with you and that we are bringing this little miracle into the world!

As some of you may know, pregnant women are 70% more likely to have complications from covid and 1/10 are hospitalized if they catch it, putting me in the high-risk category, so we have been hunkered down like hermits as best as we can for the past 4 months!

Thankfully Dave and I have already had both shots and are at full efficacy of vaccination (yes I consulted with my OB about whether or not this was safe for baby).

We will be continuing to maintain strict covid protocols (thanks to the ever so contagious variants and small occurrences of breakthrough cases) to help keep this baby safe, but at least now we can start booking shows for later this spring and summer, provided venues are still able to host us.

Keep an eye on our pages for upcoming dates and we hope to see you at a safe social distance soon!

Our kitten is “helping” with our baby announcement…
